CSHF Inductee, Joni Mitchell, wins her 9th Grammy

One of music’s biggest nights, the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, was held on February 15th, 2016. Among the list of winners was Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) inductee Joni Mitchell, who won her 9th Grammy in the category of best album notes.

The famed singer-songwriter won for her album Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced, a career-spanning four-disc collection focusing on Mitchell’s most romantic works. The win was announced at the pre-show portion of the annual awards.

Mitchell’s first Grammy win was in 1969 for the album Clouds. She’s since been nominated 16 times over the years and has won a total of 9 times, including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.
