On Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the iconic Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada's biggest celebration of songwriting returns with a new class of incredible inductees: The Tragically Hip, Mike Reno & Paul Dean (Loverboy), Leslie Feist, and Roch Voisine.
The 2026 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by Amazon Music will feature performances by Allison Russell, Amanda Marshall, Charlotte Cornfield, City and Colour, FINNEAS, Isabelle Boulay, Jeff Tweedy, Ludovick Bourgeois, Matt Lang, Our Lady Peace, Ruby Waters, Sara Dufour, Sebastian Gaskin, TALK, Tia Wood, Todd Kerns, and more to be announced.
Hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos and Marie-Mai.
With special appearances by Jay Baruchel, Bruce McCulloch, Marie-Philip Poulin & Laura Stacey, Jim Vallance, and Boi-1da.
Presented in collaboration with Amazon Music, the 2026 Induction Ceremony, will be live-streamed globally via the Amazon Music Twitch channel and the Amazon Music app. It will also be available to stream on Prime Video in Canada. The livestream will be hosted by two-time Canadian Screen Award winner Keshia Chanté, who will guide viewers through the evening with commentary, songwriter interviews, and additional context celebrating the inductees and their contributions to Canadian music. 2026 Inductees
The Tragically Hip
Since forming in Kingston, Ontario in 1984, The Tragically Hip’s Rob Baker, Gord Downie, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois, and Gord Sinclair have done more than make music; they’ve helped define the sound and spirit of a nation. With iconic songs like “Ahead By A Century,” “Bobcaygeon,” “New Orleans Is Sinking,” and “Wheat Kings,” their catalogue is woven into the fabric of Canadian culture.
Paul Dean & Mike Reno (Loverboy)
Loverboy, driven by the songwriting partnership of Mike Reno and Paul Dean, rose to prominence after forming in Calgary in 1979, becoming one of Canada’s most successful rock acts and shaping the sound of mainstream rock through songs like “Working for the Weekend” and “Turn Me Loose”.
Leslie Feist
Leslie Feist has built an internationally acclaimed career defined by originality and a singular songwriting voice. A four-time Grammy nominee and fourteen-time JUNO Award winner, her breakthrough album The Reminder achieved multi-platinum status and included the global hit “1234,” while Metals won the Polaris Music Prize and was named Album of the Year by The New York Times.
Roch Voisine
With a career spanning decades, Roch Voisine has built a global audience through songs such as “Hélène,” “Always Be There,” and “Darlin’,” becoming one of Canada’s most successful bilingual songwriters. His ability to move seamlessly between French and English has allowed him to connect with audiences across Canada and internationally, helping to define a uniquely cross-cultural approach to songwriting.
