Induction Committees, comprised of individuals with a deep historical knowledge of Canadian music and songwriters, select songs that meet the induction criteria set out by the CSHF Board of Directors.
Songs are inducted separately from songwriters, who are honoured and celebrated at the CSHF Induction Ceremonies. Beginning in 2018, the Hall of Fame began inducting songs across Canada, throughout the year, by partnering with the country’s most vibrant music festivals and events to honour the musical heritage of those songs and regions.
